Mosaic Family Health

Mosaic Family Health provides access to high-quality clinical care for more than 6,000 patients at its convenient location in downtown Appleton. For the last 30 years, the clinic has provided holistic care and support for people of all ages. They offer a wide range of services, including maternity care, pediatrics, acute and chronic illness care, geriatrics, mental health care and hospital care.

Teaching the Art & Heart of Care

Mosaic Family Health is home to the Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program, an affiliate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. They work together to fulfill our mission: to provide full-scope family medicine services while training future physicians and improving the overall health of the Fox Cities.

The longstanding clinic is co-sponsored by two local health systems, Ascension Health Care and ThedaCare. The sponsors provide community physicians and hospital training sites to support these freshly schooled doctors. Mosaic Family Health also partners with other community health organizations to help patients and their families through every aspect of care. We provide services at:

Together, the clinic, and its doctors, patients, sponsors and community partners teach the art and heart of care.

Client Challenges and Goals

Mosaic Family Health and the Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program ran into major issues when dealing with COVID-19 in relation to their regular recruiting process. Generally the program brings in potential residents to tour the facilities, see the Fox Valley region, and truly experience firsthand what the program is really like. Then COVID hit and they needed to get creative. Mosaic Family Health needed a way to showcase their program to interviewees of the residency program while keeping them safe at home. Stellar Blue Productions provided an option of videos to overcome this obstacle.

The biggest challenge was to truly bring out the emotion and passion that the Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program has to offer; from not only their staff and educators, but the current training residents themselves.

Video Production Solutions

Stellar Blue Productions created four separate video pieces for Mosaic Family Health and the Residency program.

Recruitment Video

First, we created a 15 minute overarching recruitment video, highlighting the entire program, the relationships the residency program has within the community, the sponsorships the program works with, and a feel for the Fox Valley area. With several personal interviews, potential residents get to see the program firsthand from every level of the program.

R3 Capstone Video

The Fox Valley Family Medicine Residency Program is unique in its final year of training, referred to as the Capstone year. This training allows residents to truly act as a full fledged doctor managing every aspect of family medicine. The R3 Capstone video addresses the curriculum a 3rd-year resident will experience. You will also see graduates of the program sharing their experiences and current specialities they are working in.

We created a condensed version of the general Recruitment video to focus solely on what the work life at Mosaic Family Health is like. This focused on the program as a whole and the facilities in which an employee would work in.

“Play” Video

We created a condensed version of the general Recruitment video to focus on life in the Fox Valley. This video highlights what employees can enjoy while they are not working and what makes the Fox Valley special.
