Optimizing Google My Business: Photos

Hey everybody, Nate here, with Stellar Blue Technologies. Today we are taking a deeper dive into the photo section of the GMB profile. This section right here is set up so that if a user goes out to Google and does an image search for a specific product or service or your company that these images will actually show up within those results, as well as in the knowledge panel on the right hand side of search engine results page. 

There are different sections here as you can see up in the top. The interior and exterior sections, the exterior is going to be where there’s going to be an emphasis put on customers being able to identify your business from the exterior of the building. 

So Google is looking for an image from each direction that a customer is going to be coming to your specific location just to help them identify your business from the exterior view only. Interior is going to be where customers, can get the feel of the business. So kind of the ambiance of what your business is, what your business looks like and kind of get that feel of whether or not this is somewhere that they think they’d like to shop. 

The at work section and the team section is going to be one of the sections that you can associate what you do or the services you provide through an image and kind of help customers understand what it is that you actually do. The team section is going to be more personalizing your business. So showcasing employees and talking a little bit about what it is they do, or the specific services that they work on within your business. 

The identity is going to include things like the business logo, as well as the cover photo. That’s going to all flow into the knowledge panel on the specific search results pages. You do have the capability of uploading video as well to creative. If you’re a creative business, like we are with our multimedia you do have the capability of uploading videos as well.
