Five Reasons Your Digital Market Strategy Isn’t Working

When you have put a significant amount of time and effort into building a digital marketing strategy, you hope that your plans come to fruition. But that isn’t always the case. We have put together five potential reasons why you are striking out with your digital marketing strategy instead of knocking it out of the park.

Finding the right audience
Your marketing strategy could be aimed at the wrong audience or have little direction at all. To drive your strategy, it helps to target the audiences and demographics you wish to reach. Marketing is about putting the appropriate content out and in front of the appropriate people all in a timely manner. We will touch back on this later.

Lackluster content marketing
In today’s marketing universe, the ways in which we use the content is ever-changing. Creating content that is compelling and pulls the reader into your website can do wonders for your brand and website analytics. If you are on board with content marketing (and you very well should be), you may want to check out the quality of content you are putting out to the public. When you’re putting out poor quality, your marketing campaigns can come to a sudden standstill. You wouldn’t want to be exposed to terrible content, so don’t make your audience have to read it either! Be focused and intentional with the content you put out. It can make a world of difference.

SEO five years ago isn’t what it was two years ago and wasn’t what it is today. What we are trying to say is that SEO changes all the time. Making sure you or your agency is keeping up on current SEO best practices is key. Do continuous research on what words have wandered into Spamland and stay “in the know” with SEO changes and trends.

Sharing is Caring
Sharing the content you see on your newsfeeds and timelines is an excellent way to increase your brand presence. It’s a great idea to share on social media whenever the opportunity should present itself. When you share influencer content, your brand becomes linked to the relevant  material and when you share your network. Networking works, folks.

Time and Patience
Every social media strategy takes time to show results that it is working. Not too often do companies go from zero to hero overnight. And when we say “not too often” we mean almost never. Dive into your analytics and let them run their course. It will take a few months, but the results will show if you’re doing it right.

Implementing a new social media strategy is a fun and exciting time. As a digital marketing agency, we have helped a number of companies and organizations with their strategies.
