Optimizing Google My Business: Products & Services
Hey guys, Nate here with Stellar Blue Technologies. And today we are going to continue our deep dive into our Google My Business profile and creating a profile. Probably going to be a real quick one today as we’re going to talk about the products and services sections. I don’t necessarily have some great examples to share with you because we’re a digital marketing agency. But, the product section here can be extremely useful for a small to mid-sized business or a smaller mid-sized e-commerce business that doesn’t necessarily have hundreds of thousands of product pages. You can actually input product information into your Google My Business profile and actually showcase your products directly on the knowledge panel when somebody searches for your site. There are some required fields in order to do this.
I think images are one and pricing and a description and a link is a required step. But again, this is somewhat similar to the Google shopping results but is more tailored to within your GMB profile or your knowledge panel when somebody searches for your site. As we move into the services section you’ll notice that we do have a service set up here and this actually correlates pretty nicely with the categories that are selected within the info section that we’ve done in the past videos. If you didn’t get a chance to check that one out I would go back and take a look cause there’s some good information in there about how to set your categories up, but some categories will actually have some different services that you can actually provide in here.
You can create your own services and again you’re really kind of highlighting it and giving it your elevator pitch. Obviously these again will coincide with the, the local search rankings. So again, if you’ve got a service like digital marketing, or metal roofs or roofing in general. This would be the section that you can do that. You can try to leverage the keyword usage within your Google My Business profile.
