Stellar Blue Launches New Website for Community First Fox Cities Marathon!

Get your running shoes ready, because we are happy to announce the launch of the Community First Fox Cities Marathon website! The Fox Cities Marathon is an annual event, which has people participating in various running events throughout Neenah, Menasha and Appleton. Stellar Blue is a proud sponsor for the marathon and this is the first project with the organization.

Features:
Upon entering the website, visitors are presented with a stunning animated homepage. An image from last year’s run is complimented with a live countdown to the marathon, along with quick links to take visitors to register or view information for each event. A scrolling sponsor marquee is also featured prominently on the homepage. Scrolling down the home page provides visitors with three different ways to get involved with the event, as well as a feed of latest news. Visitors can also chose to navigate to the other areas of the site via the dropdown navigation bar.
“The Fox Cities Marathon is a huge event with a lot of participants,” said Owner and Managing Director Jim Dobinski, “the new website provides a great one-stop resource for people to find out everything they need to know about the marathon, as well as register.”

Goals:
The goal was to provide visitors with a convenient way to register, along with all the information necessary to prepare for the event, in a way that is easy to navigate and still engaging. Under the Race & Events area of the website, visitors can find the starting and finish line locations for each of the events, as well as additional course information. Visitors can also find information on training for the event, medical info and view a frequently asked questions page. A Race Week page provides schedules, maps, parking information and lodging information. The site is responsive for mobile viewing, and a translate feature allows the site to be displayed in almost any language. A sidebar provides links to all of the marathon’s various social media channels, as well as a site search feature for visitors wanting to search for a specific piece of info on the site. Information can also be quickly updated via WordPress integration.
