Putting the Cuffs on Crime: Winnebago CountyWide Crime Stoppers New Website!

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Winnebago CountyWide Crime Stoppers custom website! Winnebago CountyWide Crime Stoppers, located in Oshkosh, Wis, is a non-profit organization that works with law enforcement, the business community, news media and public to provide law enforcement agencies with the information they need to solve crimes. This is Stellar Blue’s first project with Winnebago CountyWide Crime Stoppers.

Features
The Crime Stoppers website has a clean design that is easy to navigate. Arriving on the homepage, visitors are greeted with a sleek design with large text and call-to-actions. Without needing to scroll down visitors are shown three ways to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers. Also on the homepage are latest news articles and an area with information on various Crime Stopper’s programs. Near the bottom of the page are logos of community law enforcement partners, as well as an animated sponsor marquee.

“The Winnebago CountyWide Crime Stoppers do a great job at helping reduce crimes throughout Winnebago County. We were very excited to help build a website that will further their cause and make it easier for them to reach more people,” said Project Manager Jessica Michels.

Goals:
The goal of the site is to inform visitors about what the Crime Stoppers do, how people can help and submit anonymous tips, as well as informing visitors about their various programs. The website is extremely easy to navigate as it only has five main pages on the site. Visitors can read more about the organization, their various crime stopping programs as well as their law enforcement partners. For those that want to get in touch with the Crime Stoppers, a contact page complete with email, phone and text contact information is available. The entire site features a responsive design, which will adjust to fit the screen size of nearly any device. In addition, WordPress was used as a content management system to provide an easy way to make changes to the website content.
