Live From CES 2016: Friday Recap
Again another great day at CES 2016. I got to be apart of another virtual reality demo today. This one was different in that it’s glasses you put over a phone where an app is running. It was for a home security company that used this virtual reality 360 viewer to showcase all their home security features that you can then click on in the app to get more information.
Some other interesting technologies included a product called Brainbit. It monitors EEG to assess cognitive health and fitness. What makes it more interesting is that it offers an SDK so that developers can develop additional functionality. Another item I saw there again relates to AI was an AI app for blind people. It’s called Aipoly. It guides a blind user and explains what objects are around them.
The main thing I have taken from this conference so far is to keep on eye on the future of AI, cognitive computing, voice recognition, virtual & Augmented reality, smart technology in general (home, fitness, etc..) flexible displays & transparent displays.
