Tips To Combat Writer's BlockIt’s no secret that having a blog can be advantageous in so many ways. Blogs allow you to share similar interests, express an opinion, demonstrate a service/product, or keep people up to date on your industry’s trends. What happens when you are a seasoned blogger running out of ideas?

Here are some tips to help minimize that writer’s block.

Take the time to research other blogs; subscribe to some that you think attract your type of audience. It generally doesn’t make a difference if you are writing about the same topic as the competitor, but you should give a little different twist and flavor to yours. Remember what really engages with you and allocate those ideas to make your blog.

Pay attention to recent trends, headlines, and news articles. Pulse from LinkedIn, Social Media Today, BuzzFeed, Twitter and Facebook are all great tools to use when researching news and trends that are emerging around us. Write down those of interest and you now have multiple topics to write about.

Take a look at the comments section of your blog, and your competitor’s blog. Give yourself the opportunity to listen to what your audience is telling you. Give them what they want! Take some time going through our own comments section to help get an idea of what people are looking for and why they feel engaged

Expand on your previous best content. Look at some recent analytic history from your website and get an idea of what worked and what didn’t. Getting a feel for your audience and discovering their online behavior can really affect how your content will be written moving forward.
